If your TV is a Samsung from roughly 2017 onwards, you do not need a Firestick, a MAG unit or any extra hardware to watch IPTV — the TV’s own app store carries everything required. Samsung’s Tizen system does make one thing different from Android: there is no sideloading, so the choice of players is smaller and the setup path matters. This is the clean way to do it.
Step 1: Find a player in the Samsung app store
Press Home, open Apps, and search. The players that work well on Tizen in 2026:
- IPTV Smarters Player — the Tizen build of the familiar app; logs in with Xtream Codes directly.
- Smart IPTV (SIPTV) — a veteran on Samsung; loads an M3U playlist tied to the TV’s MAC address, with a small one-time activation fee.
- Duplex IPTV / Flix IPTV — solid alternatives if the first two are unavailable in your region’s store.
Install one — Smarters if you want the simplest login, SIPTV if you prefer a playlist-based setup.
Step 2: Log in
With IPTV Smarters: choose Login with Xtream Codes API and type the username, password and server URL from your activation email. Use the on-screen keyboard carefully — a trailing space fails the login more often than a wrong password does.
With Smart IPTV: the app shows the TV’s MAC address on its start screen. Go to the app’s website on your phone or laptop, upload your M3U link against that MAC, then restart the app on the TV — the playlist appears by itself. Step 3: Make it feel like normal TV
- Build a favourites group from the channels you actually watch — scrolling a full list of thousands gets old fast. The complete line-up is on our channels list if you want to preview it.
- Turn on the programme guide (EPG) inside the player’s settings and let it refresh daily.
- Pin the player to the TV’s home row so it opens like any channel source.
If the picture stutters
Samsung TVs sit on Wi-Fi by default, and that is the usual culprit. The TV has an Ethernet port — one cable to the router removes ninety percent of buffering complaints. No cable run possible? Switch the TV to the 5 GHz network and keep the router in sight. For 4K and 8K streams, a stable 25 Mbps and 50 Mbps respectively is the working floor.
Older Samsung (pre-2017, Orsay system)?
The older platform no longer receives current player apps. Rather than fighting it, plug a small streaming stick into the HDMI port — the same subscription works there and on the TV app alike; one plan covers your devices per its connection count.
